A few tips for your journey along the Amalfi Coast:

Intimate wedding in Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy

Atrani is a small and picturesque fishing village nestled between Amalfi and Minori. Its narrow streets, colourful houses, and relaxed ambiance create a romantic and intimate setting for a wedding. The town's charming beach and its beautiful Church of San Salvatore provide enchanting backdrops for ceremonies.

5. Atrani:

Praiano is a quieter and more laid-back town compared to some of the other bustling destinations on the Amalfi Coast. Its tranquil atmosphere, charming streets, and stunning coastal views make it an idyllic location for an intimate wedding. There are several boutique hotels and cliffside venues in Praiano that offer romantic settings for ceremonies and receptions.

4. Praiano:

Perched high above the Amalfi Coast, Ravello offers sweeping views of the coastline and the sea. The town is known for its historic villas, lush gardens, and elegant terraces. Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo are popular wedding venues in Ravello, offering magnificent settings with panoramic vistas.

3. Ravello:

Positano is perhaps the most famous town on the Amalfi Coast, known for its pastel-colored buildings cascading down the cliffs to the sea. Its breathtaking views, pebbled beaches, and vibrant atmosphere create a romantic backdrop for a wedding. Many luxury hotels and villas in Positano offer stunning venues for ceremonies and receptions.

The town of Amalfi is one of the major hubs on the Amalfi Coast and offers a charming and historic atmosphere. Its beautiful Duomo, picturesque streets, and waterfront promenade make it an enchanting setting for a wedding ceremony. The town also has several elegant hotels and venues that can accommodate weddings of various sizes.

1. Get married in Amalfi itself:

  1. Don't rent a car! The traffic along the Amalfi Coast is horrendous, and actually a bit dangerous. You will be stuck on narrow, windy roads with a cliff on one side and mountain wall on the other, a bus is coming from the other direction and there's definitely not room for both of you. So someone has to reverse...and that's going to be you and your car.

Not to mention parking. Lots are always full and very expensive. It can be super hard to find a place to park, to the point where you just give up and turn around.

You can easily take the buses here and there, just pay attention to the timetable as they stop quite early and may only come every half hour or hour even.

I recommend renting a Vespa for full freedom! You can easily navigate through the traffic without problems. Also, parking will be so much easier, and sometimes even free (if you know where to go). It's more environmentally friendly, and it's just fun!

Before renting, make sure you have the confidence to drive it. You will need your full driver's license, and maybe an international license as well. Get insurance! And check out this place for rates, here.

  2. Make plans to see multiple villages. There's not a lot to do in jut once place, so it will be nice to get around on your Vespa and check out what else is out there.

  3. Go on a sailing tour, they are a lot of fun and a good way to spend a day.

  4. For all my fellow vegans out there, check out Frankie's Pizza Bar in Sorrento. They're not fully vegan, but my husband and I had the BEST vegan cheesecake there we have ever had, and still dream about it to this day. Their vegan pizza options are also to die for.

Each town on the Amalfi Coast has its own unique charm and appeal, so consider the atmosphere and style that best aligns with your vision for your wedding day.
