On a hike: Plan a hike to a beautiful location, like a mountaintop or a scenic overlook. When you reach your destination, get down on one knee and ask your partner to spend the rest of their life with you.
Scuba diving or snorkelling: If you and your partner are certified scuba divers or enjoy snorkelling, consider popping the question underwater. You could even hide the ring in a treasure chest or have a diver bring it to you during the dive.
Skydiving: For the ultimate adrenaline rush, propose while skydiving. You could write "Will you marry me?" on a banner where you will land or have the ring attached to your skydiving suit.
Bungee jumping: If you and your partner are thrill-seekers, propose while bungee jumping. You could have the ring attached to your harness/ankle or hold up a sign with your proposal written on it.
Hot air balloon ride: A hot air balloon ride is a romantic and adventurous way to propose. As you soar through the sky, take in the beautiful views and then ask your partner to spend the rest of their life with you.
Rock climbing: If you and your partner enjoy rock climbing, propose at the top of a challenging climb. When you reach the summit, take out the ring and ask for their hand in marriage, or tie the ring to a "figure of 8".
Helicopter to a mountain top: Why not take a helicopter ride up to an epic peak? If you aren't much of a hiker, or just don't want to sweat, it's the perfect alternative to hiking up a mountain while still getting an incredible view. If you do a helicopter proposal, it will never be forgotten by the two of you or anyone who sees the photos!
Canoeing/Kayaking: So long as you have that ring securely fasten somewhere, this is another great adventurous option. This is also how my husband proposed to me on Emerald Lake in Canada!
9. Iceland - I didn't put a specific place here because if you elope in Iceland, there's so many different places you should go! Iceland's otherworldly landscape, offering stunning views of volcanic mountains, glaciers, geysers, and the famous Northern Lights. Can you imagine saying your vows on a wild black-sand volcanic beach, or in front of a mesmerizing waterfall, and then finishing the night with some Northern lights? What an epic story to bring back home! You could go on a 4x4 trip and bring your photographer along for the ride, hitting up the best landscapes of the country and getting mind-blowing photos along the way.
10. Dubrovnik, Croatia - Dubrovnik is located on the southern coast of Croatia, offering stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the surrounding mountains. You can choose to exchange your vows in a charming garden, a medieval fortification, or a scenic beach, all with breathtaking views.
Europe offers many stunning destinations for couples who want to elope. Whether you're looking for a romantic city, a charming village, or a breathtaking natural landscape, there's a perfect location in Europe for your elopement.
